Before I got started in brand design, I was a virtual assistant for many clients while I was in college. I worked on various tasks to help them in their business, and I started dabbling in graphic design work because they needed the help. As a virtual assistant, I was now wearing much of the same hats they were wearing. And I can see why they are overwhelmed and have no time to work on what they truly love (the reason they started their business in the first place. That's when I realized... there is a major disconnect here.
Not only was I creating graphics that weren't engaging with their audience, but the majority of my clients did not have any brand foundation in place to sustain the growth or lack thereof in their business.
